Hello everyone,
Some people are complaining that Arctic Antics isn’t fair. They say that it is too hard to win, and there are people who are almost like professional Arctic Antics players, who always get all the points. Do you agree?
So, I was thinking, one way to help people who are not so good at getting the points would be to give away a 6 month membership to whoever won the lottery. What do you think to that idea? That way, everyone is in with a chance, but if you are a good player, you can buy more lottery tickets, and so stand more chance of winning. Any comments on this?
Also, someone (Willow?) raised the point that Buy A Square allows you to get 1050 Arctic Points a week. I agree, I hadn’t expected it to be so popular. I think it is skewing the whole of the website, so I might either cut the winning points down to 100, or make it so you can only win 3 times per week. Any comments on this?

My dad is jealous…he said if he had a website, he would want it to be a lot like yours; full of fun puzzles and games and treasure hunts, etc.
Here are ten suggestions that our family has that you could take or leave:

I got my whole family involved and spent A LOT of time trying to win the 12 month subscription. But that’s a little unfair to people who don’t have the time to spend. Maybe the lottery winner could win a 6 month subscription, so that anybody who spends a little bit of time on your website could win 30 points and have 3 chances at a subscription.
Cool Comp’s shop items could be used as a rewards instead of arctic points in some places.
Maybe in Pick-a-square you could win a cell phone or golden apple instead of 150 pts, for example.
It would be nice on the games that you have already played, if there were a timer that told you:
You can play again in another X hrs and XX minutes.
It would be fun if the high scorer for the week in each of your games got some arctic points or something from Cool Comp’s Shop.
A lot of the coupons are floating around on Yahoo Questions and other places. So people can type them in, but not have figured them out or discovered them. Maybe they could be changed more.
(I know where all the coupons I used were, except for TADPOLE, which was changed or dropped this week.)
I tried right clicking all over the place for special coupons or hidden goodies — but didn’t find any. I think that would be a clever way to hide some things.
I tried all the combinations (like Wide Green Bridge) thinking that there might be more hidden goodies in there, but there weren’t. That might be nice for there to be a 30 pt reward each week if you can discover the combination. There could be one or three clues hidden around like the eggs and the bunnies are.
It would also be nice if some codes you couldn’t use until you had done certain things, like solve the quest or find the eggs/bunnies. “Sorry, XXXXXX is a code, but you haven’t solved the quest yet.”
And it would be fun if some coupons (like the crack the codes) were only available for the first 50 people that found them.
Okay, there isn’t a tenth. We couldn’t think of one, because, really, the website is really, really cool already.

For Buy A Square, I’m adding BOMBS! If you click a square that has a hidden bomb in it, you are out of that game and have to wait until the next one. Also, the squares will get more expensive as the game goes on.
The idea about the timer is very very good.
Yes, you are right, the coupon for solving the quest should only work if you have solved the quest.
About codes that only work for the first 50 people, I think that it is a good idea, but I have to think about people on different time zones. For some people they would wake up in the morning and find that all 50 had been used up during the night.

And I think that codes working for only the first 50 or 100 or whatever people would only work for Crack the Codes, since those can sometimes take a day or two or five to figure out. They sure seem to be getting harder to me….

If you look at the leaders on the board, they seem to be people who recently made new accounts. If they were able to find all the eggs and all the bunnies in 3 days, I’m thinking they just signed up with a new account. (Also the leaders from week to week are rarely the same). Could you please reset everybody’s bunny and egg count each week and let us recapture those points, or give people who have completed those activities a special activity to earn 200 points?
Maybe we could even play an “Open the Box” type game with the bunny and egg pages where we have only a chance at winning those points back.
It was fun, but I regret finding all those in a non critical week….

I definitely agree that there needs to be a chance for people who only have a few minutes to play, so I will go ahead with the 6 month membership for the lottery.
For Buy A Square, I’m adding BOMBS! If you click a square that has a hidden bomb in it, you are out of that game and have to wait until the next one. Also, the squares will get more expensive as the game goes on.
The idea about the timer is very very good.
Yes, you are right, the coupon for solving the quest should only work if you have solved the quest.
About codes that only work for the first 50 people, I think that it is a good idea, but I have to think about people on different time zones. For some people they would wake up in the morning and find that all 50 had been used up during the night.

The only thing that I think is a little unfair is that once you solve the easter bunnies and easter eggs, you never get to find those 200 points again. If you look at the leaders on the board, they seem to be people who recently made new acAnd when I want to buy a square , my points ALWAYS appear 7!And some of the squares i bought don’t appear by my name!
counts. If they were able to find all the eggs and all the bunnies in 3 days, I’m thinking they just signed up with a new account. (Also the leaders from week to week are rarely the same). Could you please reset everybody’s bunny and egg count each week and let us recapture those points, or give people who have completed those activities a special activity to earn 200 points?
Maybe we could even play an “Open the Box” type game with the bunny and egg pages where we have only a chance at winning those points back.

1. i think you know how some people are pros and others are rookies. well one week you do a compitioin and everyone trys there hardest and then you group people into different groups and then there could be pros in one rookies in on and in between is another group. there for everyone gets and better and fairer chance.
2. if you were to do my idea then because the pros compition would be harder so like its would be harder to find easter eggs etc.
3. if you dont like the ideas i have already written i have another its similar to number 2, if you think someone is more professional at arctic antics then make they’re compition harder, if you think someone is findin AA difficult make things a little easier.
4. with the lottery ticket maybe not just have one winner, because in a normal real life winner yuo usually don’t have just one winner.
5. make lottery tickets for eg: you pay 10 points for a ticket and you get a 5/9 chance (or something else) and then you could win 200 points or a bomb or a mini jewel or a globe or you could loose 100 points etc?!
6. I think we need more games, not just 2, and 5 second madness you know how some people get like 50,000 its because they use a cheat engine! so maybe you could say to win you have to get 2,789 points exactly and the first 3 people who do win 3 golden apples etc.
7. You could have a guessing game, so you pay 5 points to enter and then you guess a number between 0-1000 (dosnt have to be) and then whoever is closest or gets it (yoou can either have closest without going over eg if there is 698 in the jar and someone guesses 700 then they get eliminated, or if its 634 and someone guesses 649 and thats the closest then they win?!?!?! but u will need to have proof of the number or will need a picture so the people can guess (you dont have to though you can make the people just make it up in there mind without the photo)
8. You could have a maths game thingo. what you do is you say i am and odd number between 300-699 i have mutiples of 5 8 and nine what am i? (the answer is not correct i just made it up for eg)
9.dont always make prizes money, maybe you could have a gift voucher for you shop or extra game points for eg if someone is play 5 second madness and then they are 200 off the top score and they have a 500 game point they won then they can use it, type in the code and there score adds on the points and wolah?!
10. Dont do the random rabbit to random people, give it to people having difficulty,if they get it it will make them feel good and excited.. basically it will help them prove to themself that they can do it, they can win!
11. do more hunts, make some harder for some and easier for others, make sure they are all different so no one can write it on the internet and say 1st ones here, 2nd is there, 3rd is blah blah blah etc… you know?
12. you just need a bit more things because for eg, someone may not be good at 5 second madness but might be at another game you introduce. you should let people become other peoples friend, introduce messages that one person send to another that one the 2 see not EVERYONE! yes you can check that they are safe. and on walrus chat do more fun things!!!!!

You should go on more offten because some people are being mean at times and we cant tell you quickly!
There also could be another hunt for litter you hide all junk around the website like fish bones choclate wrappers and say if you put something helthy in the bin you lose 10 arctic points!
I think you should put more game tournements in the sections and make a record of people who got on the list on their profile
I think on your profile you could create your own like have this game it says create you own photo and then you draw it out and then you go on your profile and it could say you have??? drawings and would you like to add the drawing as your picture???

I think that you should be able to report players that say bad words (such as swear words)because there could be like ten year olds on arctic antics trying to win a Club Penguin membership. They should be banned for like 24 hours just like on Club Penguin. It’s a really bad influence to kids that age and it could make them think that it is ok to say bad things online.
